Digital Capital Week is a 10-day festival in DC (June 11 - 20, 2010) focused on technology, innovation and all things digital in our nation’s capital. At this special edition of Sweets and Tweets, you'll be treated to a lively panel discussion featuring DC members of Fast Company's just published list of Most Influential Women in Technology.

There will be plenty of excitement and plenty of time for questions.This won't be a same old, same old rehash of why there aren't enough women in technology. Given the depth and breadth of talent on Fast Company's list, it's clear there are plenty of women doing important work in the tech space. Perhaps the question is: why aren't they better known?

Because we're doing a panel, this special edition of Sweets and Tweets will be held after hours at the very cool Hamiltonian Gallery on U Street. You can expect CUPCAKES from Baked and Wired, of course. We will also be serving wine. Maybe a cold rosé? We need to research what goes with cupcakes.

Sweets and Tweets features leading voices from DC's diverse technology community on the use of social media by the public and private sector, from the White House and federal agencies to local startups. The event series is produced and hosted by author and corporate social media consultant Debbie Weil.
